Your Business Is Scaling. Your Systems Aren't.

Most home services companies buy software when they really need strategy. Let's start by figuring out what's actually broken, then we'll design systems that work for how you run your business.

30 minutes on the phone. We'll talk about what's broken and whether I can help.

The Problem

Sound familiar? Every scaling home services company hits these walls:

Spreadsheets are breaking under the weight

What worked at 10 jobs/week doesn't work at 100. Your team is buried in manual data entry and version control nightmares.

Manual work is drowning your operations team

Someone is copying data from your scheduling tool to your invoicing system to your CRM. Every. Single. Day.

Off-the-shelf software doesn't fit your business

You're paying $2K/month for ServiceTitan or Jobber and still using spreadsheets because the software can't handle your unique processes.

Dev shops don't understand the business

You've tried hiring developers. They build what you ask for, not what you need. Then they disappear when it breaks.

Operational chaos is costing you revenue

Jobs are falling through the cracks. Technicians can't find information. Customers are frustrated. You're leaving money on the table.

The good news? You don't have to figure this out alone. Custom operations software solves all of these problems—and it's more accessible than you think.

The Hidden Problem No One Talks About

70% of operations transformations fail

Not because of bad technology. Because of bad organizational readiness.

The software works. The systems make sense. But leadership isn't aligned. The team resists change. No one told the truth about what's actually broken.

Here's what successful transformations require:

Full executive sponsorship

Not just approval—active championship from the top

Truth-telling culture

No sugarcoating, no politics, no sacred cows

Protected time for discovery

You can't fix what you don't understand

Change readiness

Your team needs to want this, not just tolerate it

We won't take your money if these conditions don't exist.

Because systems don't fail—organizations do. The Strategic Audit phase exists to determine if you're ready for transformation, not just if you need it.

⚠️ Why Most Solutions Fail

You've probably tried fixing this before. Here's why it didn't work—and why we're different.

Software Vendors

"Their product, your problem"

They push their product regardless of fit

You adapt to their software, not the other way around

Features you don't need, gaps in what you do

Support disappears after the sale

General IT Consultants

"Technical skills, zero context"

No understanding of home services operations

They build what you ask for, not what you need

Expensive learning curve on your dime

Gone when the project ends

DIY Implementation

"Change one thing, break three"

Your team isn't software engineers

Technical debt piles up fast

No one to call when it breaks

Time better spent running your business

The Polaris Pixels Difference

Built by someone who's actually done this before

Home services expertise: 8 years scaling Roof Maxx to 350+ locations

Custom-built for you: Not off-the-shelf, not one-size-fits-all

Ongoing partnership: We don't disappear after launch

Built what you need: Not just what you asked for

Why Cross-Functional Systems Thinking Matters

Most software fails because developers optimize one department and break three others.

❌ What Most Consultants Do

  • • Fix your scheduling system
  • • Break your billing workflow
  • • Create new bottlenecks in dispatch
  • • Miss how sales impacts operations

✓ What We Do

  • • See how sales, ops, finance, and service connect
  • • Design changes that improve the whole system
  • • Prevent downstream breakage before it happens
  • • Optimize for business outcomes, not features

"Your sales process impacts operations. Your billing creates customer service nightmares. Your dispatch workflow determines technician efficiency. We see the connections others miss."

The Solution: Strategic Systems Design, Done Right

We don't sell software. We diagnose operational chaos and design systems that scale.

Systems architecture designed specifically for how your home services business actually operates. Not generic templates. Not off-the-shelf assumptions. Custom-designed for your business model.

The Polaris Method: Three Phases, One Decision Point

1

Strategic Audit

Deep dive into your operations

  • Identify where you're bleeding time and money
  • Map current state vs. ideal state
  • Quantify the operational chaos costing you revenue
2

Systems Architecture

Design your ideal future state

  • Workflows that scale without breaking
  • Tech stack that integrates seamlessly
  • Detailed implementation roadmap with costs and timelines
3

Build & Implement

Execute with confidence (Optional - Your Choice)

  • Custom-built operations platforms
  • Technician mobile apps and customer portals
  • Done-with-you or done-for-you, your choice

Phase 1-2: You Own the Blueprint

After the Strategic Audit and Systems Architecture phases, you walk away with a complete operational blueprint. No obligation to proceed with implementation.

Decision Point:

Do you want us to build it, or take the blueprint to your internal team or other vendors? Your choice.

Phase 3 is only for clients who want us to implement. Many choose to execute internally or with other partners—and that's perfectly fine. You paid for strategic counsel, not a sales pitch.

What We Design (And Optionally Build)

Operations Platforms

We design how your sales, scheduling, dispatch, service delivery, billing, and customer success functions work as one coordinated system. Then we help you build or integrate the technology to support it—whether that's custom development, API integrations, or configured off-the-shelf tools.

  • • Custom workflow automation
  • • Real-time dashboards and KPIs
  • • Integration with existing tools
  • • Territory and franchise management
  • • Multi-location support

Technician Apps

We design field operations workflows that make your technicians more efficient and your customers happier. Then we build mobile tools that support those workflows—custom apps, configured solutions, or integrations with your existing systems.

  • • Offline-first architecture
  • • GPS tracking and routing
  • • Digital forms and checklists
  • • Photo documentation
  • • Push notifications

Customer Portals

We design customer experience workflows that reduce friction and increase satisfaction. Then we implement the technology—whether that's custom portals, integrated booking systems, or configured customer success platforms.

  • • Online booking and scheduling
  • • Payment processing
  • • Service history and documents
  • • Two-way messaging
  • • Review and feedback collection

You get ongoing support, not a project handoff. Your systems will be maintained, updated, and improved as your business grows.

You get software built for YOUR business model. No compromises. No workarounds. No paying for features you'll never use.

Why This Actually Works

Ryan Grissinger

I'm Ryan Grissinger. I spent 8 years as CTO of Roof Maxx, designing and building every operational system that powered growth from zero to 350+ franchise dealers across all 50 states. I didn't consult on these systems from the outside—I designed, built, and operated them under the pressure of real hyper-growth. Now I help home services companies design the same level of operational excellence.

Home Services Operator, Not Just Consultant

I've actually run these operations. I know what breaks at scale and how to prevent it.

Designed for Your Business Model

Not generic templates. Not off-the-shelf assumptions. Custom systems architecture for how your business actually operates—whether we build it or you do.

Ongoing Partnership, Not Project Handoff

We don't disappear after launch. Your systems are maintained, updated, and improved as your business grows.

Cross-Functional Systems Thinking

I see how sales, operations, finance, and service connect. No siloed solutions that break downstream.

Let's Talk About Your Operations

Book a call. We'll figure out if this makes sense for your business.

The Cost of Waiting

Every month with broken systems costs you revenue

Manual processes, missed opportunities, frustrated customers. The inefficiency adds up faster than you think.

Your competitors are automating while you're drowning in spreadsheets

They're scaling faster, serving more customers, and stealing market share. All because they fixed their systems first.

The longer you wait, the harder it gets to fix

Technical debt compounds. Bad processes become embedded. Your team resists change. The best time to fix this was six months ago. The second best time is now.

Not For Everyone

Polaris Pixels is a great fit if:

You're doing $500K-$50M in revenue and need technology that scales with you instead of holding you back

You've tried generic software and it doesn't fit your business model. You need something custom

You understand that operational efficiency is worth investing in because chaos is costing you more

We're NOT a fit if:

You're looking for the cheapest option. Custom software is an investment, not a commodity

You want generic tools that work "good enough". There are plenty of SaaS options for that

You're not ready to invest in systems that will scale with your business for years to come

Common Questions

How does pricing work?

We start with a Strategic Audit to diagnose what's actually broken, then Systems Architecture to design your ideal state. Implementation is optional and priced separately based on scope. We'll discuss investment ranges on the discovery call after understanding your specific situation.

How long does it take to build?

Most projects take 3-6 months from kickoff to launch. We work in phases so you see progress every 2-4 weeks and can start using parts of the system before everything is complete.

What if something breaks after launch?

We don't disappear after launch. Every project includes ongoing support and maintenance. You'll have direct access to me, not a support ticket system.

Do you only work with franchises?

No. We work with any home services business that's scaling: single-location companies, multi-location operators, franchise networks, or anything in between.

What makes you different from software vendors or dev shops?

Three things: (1) I've actually run operations in a home services business at scale, (2) I design complete systems, not just software features, and (3) I see how all your departments connect—sales, ops, finance, service—so we fix the system, not just symptoms. Dev shops build what you ask for. Software vendors push their product. We design what you actually need.

Do I have to hire you to implement, or can I take the blueprint and build it myself?

Totally up to you. After Strategic Audit and Systems Architecture, you own the blueprint. Many clients choose to implement internally or with other vendors. Some want us to build it. Either way, you get strategic counsel first, sales pitch never.
